Dell unveiled a new ultra-slim Latitude 13. With similar form factor, Latitude 13 appears to be a re-branded Vostro 13 notebook that was released in December 2009. Its close resemblance to Adamo laptop makes Latitude 13 thin and light laptop for business users. No details about the price and availability of this device are out as yet.
As such, it comes fully IT-ified with a preinstalled Citrix client(for U.S only), easier virtualization options, and baked in know-how for system image and software update distribution. So it’s not really new, but it’s still “the world’s thinnest 13-inch commercial client laptop,” according to Dell and that’s gotta be worth a second look when it begins shipping in a few weeks.
As the brand label suggests, Dell’s latest Latitude comes with a 13.3-inch display screen, while other contributing aspects include a weight of just 1.5kg (approx. 3.3lbs), a full-sized keyboard, intell ultra low voltage processing technology, Windows 7 or Windows XP, and a traditional hard disk drive (HDD).
