Roewe 350 is the world’s first android car. Android operating system, well known OS used for Google Mobile is not limited to being used on mobile phones only. It’s been used also on some other gadgets such as netbooks, tablets etc and the latest buzz we have for you is Android OS is now erasing its boundaries and been used in a car, Roewe 350 to power its GPS, audio system and for more technologies.
Currently, it will be the DVD and GPS systems that will be powered by Android 2.1. With the new android technology, motorists will have great experience by having information at their fingertips like real time local traffic reports as well as direct web access, a chat application included that will make use of VoIP (Voice over IP) though at this time, it is still unclear as to exactly how the Roewe 350 will establish an Internet connection. Will it be through the use of the 3G network or by means of an installed WWAN card or by any other local cellular networks is not clear so far.
Cars with mobile Internet technology are not new to us. Ford Sync and Chrysler are the few that come equipped with WiFi or 3G Internet.
